When I first saw the release of “Adore You” last year, I admit I was more than a little bit surprised by the style change of the artist’s music, as I was expecting more of a pop ballad song from Jessie rather than a dance track with disco influences. More than a year later, with the release of her new album “What’s Your Pleasure?” I found myself having a new obsession for her new sounds that take you through dance music styles from early 70’s to 80’s and even 90’s vibes on “Save A Kiss”.
Disco is not dead and has a new queen! The infectious bass lines of “Spotlight” and “What’s Your Pleasure?” making your body move and Jessie’s lush vocals makes this the best dance album of the year and definitely one of the coolest dance albums ever, in line with Michael Jackson’s “Off The Wall”, Madonna’s “Confessions On A Dancefloor”, Roisin Murphy’s “Overpowered” and the recent favorites Robyn “Honey” and Christine & The Queens “Chris”.
Surprisingly enough, all tracks on the album stand on their own, including the last song, “Remember Where You Are”, that seems like a perfect dance session ending, taking you far into space and time.
So, if you’re in the game for a mood changer, listen to Jessie’s latest album, it will, for sure, make you dance wherever you are! I just can’t wait for the white vinyl edition to play it on a warm summer Saturday at home while sipping on a chilled glass of rose wine. Soon you will be able to buy the vinyl album in our shop.
